Preparing for the Yuletide

We were the first to put up our lights on our block, which was a first. I didn't capture all of the lights in this picture but, plan on trying it again this evening from a different angle, going down the street a little farther. That should do it.
Revised with an additional picture today.

There are a few gatherings happening this month, having dinner with our neighbors, a birthday party at a restaurant, and a Christmas tree lighting at a friend's home. All should be very festive.

You are so less lazy than I! Now it's too frickin' cold to be hanging ass out on a ladder to string lights. I may still get out and decorate the bushes and yew tress...

Your lights look terrific, Butch! I hope the season brings a multitude of merry moments and sweet surprises!

Greg: Thanks and back at ya! We've been hanging plain, white lights for awhile and like the simplicity of them. I don't know whether we'll put up a tree or not, who knows, we just might get motivated. ;-) Enjoy your warm weather.

Tater: Oh, I can't take complete credit for hanging the lights, that was Steve who actually did that part. So ...there still might be the chance that I'm lazier than you. ;-)

Nice to see you online again, and speaking of weather, I understand you folk in Chicago have been getting the cold weather lately. I just spoke with my sister in Detroit and they are in a cold snap as well. Our temperature was in the low 30s and her's was ten degrees cooler. Meanwhile, Greg, in the Cape Cod region is experiencing 60 degree weather.

Good luck on your bushes and yew tree decorating. Take a picture or two when you complete it and send it along.
Take care,
Butch

Looks great, very cozy and festive for the holidays

Wonder Man: Thanks. We just pretend there is snow in those pictures. ;-)

Today it is lightly raining. Last night coming home from a party, it was lightly raining and a 51 degree night. Can't really complain, I do not like shoveling snow.

Looks beautiful!

Dantallion: Ha! I know what you mean. It's bad enough to have to watch the Christmas commercials on our Thanksgiving holiday. I wish this country wasn't in such a rush to push Christmas before its time.

As it turns out, we still beat everyone on in the cul-du-sac putting up our lights. ( generally, we are the last to do so, if at all )

Who knows, perhaps next year we may even put up a tree. ;-)
